"Where only Smugglers Dare" was painted after a trip to Cornwall during the Summer when we stayed on the Lizard peninsular. With the dark blues of a moody sky, tones of ochre in the rugged rocks and the white splash of surf in the breaking waves, I hope to convey the turbulent sea where only the bravest sailors navigate.
