The Nature of Summer
"The Nature of Summer" was inspired by some lovely woods near my home in the Peak District where sunlight filters through the trees creating shadows over the forest floor. I have used bright tones of gold, lilac and turquoise for this painting as I love these colours. It was very peaceful to create this painting and the gold tones have an iridescent quality to them.
