"A Quieter Forest Way" was inspired by some lovely woods near my home in the Peak District where the trees arch so far over the path that they touch in the middle. Sunlight filters through the trees creating shadows over the forest floor. I have used bright tones of copper, green and turquoise for this painting as I love these colours. It was very peaceful to create this painting and the gold tones have an iridescent quality to them.
