Blue Forest Dreaming
"Blue Forest Dreaming" is an expression of some quiet peaceful woods near my home in the Peak District where sunlight filters through the trees creating shadows over the forest floor. I have used bright tones of blue, copper, turquoise and ultramarine for their calming qualities. The colour turquoise is thought to bring good fortune, wisdom, tranquillity, and hope and is highly valued in many cultures. For myself, it was very peaceful to create this painting and the copper tones have an iridescent quality to them.
