Fall of the Forest Light
This painting is inspired by the beautiful woodlands near my home in the Peak District. Sunlight filters through the canopy, casting dappled shadows that dance across the forest floor. The use of impasto brings a tactile depth, contrasting the dramatic shadows with the brilliance of light spilling across the foreground. Rich tones of amber, magenta, gold, and orange express the quiet radiance of autumn, a season both vibrant and transient.
Acrylics on deep edge canvas, the painting continues round the edges.
